Have you ever seen photos of the starry sky and wondered if it’s possible to take similar photos with your camera or even your phone? Come learn how to photograph a celestial landscape with us.
No prior photography experience needed. Samer from Zenderfull will guide you through all the essential tips and techniques to capture a beautiful shot of the sky. Plus, you’ll have access to the unique skies of our International Dark Sky Reserve. This activity is perfect for beginners and novices looking to learn the basics of astrophotography.
The evening’s schedule will be adapted based on weather and astronomical conditions.

Location : Parc du Mont-Mégantic, secteur de l’observatoire
First Part
Theoretical Session (40 minutes) at the Mont-Mégantic ASTROLab
Samer will explain the steps needed to successfully photograph the starry sky.
Second Part
If the sky is clear: We will drive to the Halte de la Terre, located halfway up the mountain, for 1.5 hours of practice with your camera and tripod.
If the sky is cloudy: A $20 refund will be provided, and the activity will end.
What to Bring:
Warm clothing (hat, gloves, scarf, etc.) as the temperature at the summit is colder than at the base

Tripod
Notebook for taking notes. Additional information will be provided by Samer after the activity, along with souvenir photos.

The activity begins at the ASTROLab at 5:15 PM with a presentation on astrophotography, followed by a hike to the Halte de la Terre.

The ticket is valid for 1 person and includes access to the activity and a bed in a shared room (double/single bed).

Hi, I'm Samer from Zenderfull. I'm a self-taught photographer specializing in capturing celestial landscapes. I combine my passion for astronomy and the outdoors with my expertise in photography to create unforgettable guided outings under starry skies.
I'm Lebanese-Canadian, and since arriving in Montreal in 2016, I've been scouring Quebec for the most auspicious locations to bring you along with me to capture dazzling images of the starry sky including the Milky Way and the Northern Lights.
Zenderfull is a compound word that means Zen & Wonderful, and it's the feeling I get when I'm outside observing the magic of the stars.
