NightSky Adventures
Dark Skies. Bright Adventure.
Meet Caroline, a passionate astronomer and experienced educator, with a love for adventure!
Caroline's extensive expertise in the field of astronomy covers a wide range of topics, including the study of stars, using the night sky as a navigational tool, and telescope operation. While at the University of Toronto, Caroline’s speciality was in the study of deep space and all its mysteries yet to be discovered. She has been a local resident astronomer and telescope operator at the University of Toronto, the Manitoulin Dark Sky Preserve, and the Killarney Dark Sky Preserve, to name a few.
During the day, Caroline can often be found hitting up her local hiking trails, tutoring calculus, climbing mountains, and travelling. She has been a part of astronomical research studies from as near as Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario to as far as China, to view the world’s largest radio telescope. At night, Caroline can be found leading stargazing expeditions, delivering educational lectures in English, French, German, or Arabic, and sharing stories of the stars from the perspective of several cultures.
With an array of passions in her Orion’s tool belt, Caroline loves it most when her two worlds collide. So whether you are looking to explore more trails, climb more mountains, or learn about the wonders of space there is a whole world waiting for you to explore more. Follow her on Instagram at caroline.elkhoury or nightsky.adventures to stay connected.
Besides, who needs sleep anyway?
